SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (AP) _ Brandon Stott rallied Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo with two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter as the Mustangs defeated Eastern Washington 52-35 Saturday.
Trailing 35-23 to start the fourth quarter, Cal Poly (5-6) earned its first victory over a Big Sky opponent this season with Stott’s two TD passes and David Lombardi’s interception return.
The Mustangs had four players go over 100 yards on the day, led by Antonio Warren who ran for 122 yards and two TDs. Stott finished with 335 yards and three touchdowns. Hitoshi Ono caught nine passes for 151 yards, Jon Peck had seven catches for 131 yards and Kamil Loud had four for 102 yards.
Eastern Washington’s Harry Leons was 23 for 38 for 279 yards and three TDs. The Eagles (3-8) trailed 21-7, but cut their deficit to 23-21 at halftime on a 26-yard TD run by Joe Sewell and a 28-yard TD pass from Leons to Antwan Miller.
Sewell rushed for 97 yards, while Miller finished with 53 yards receiving.
