Boston man pleads not guilty to Cape Cod slaying
BARNSTABLE, Mass. (AP) — A Boston man charged with fatally shooting a Cape Cod man during a home invasion last summer has been ordered held without bail.
Steven Webster of Dorchester on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the July 11 death of 27-year-old Andrew Stanley in Barnstable.
Webster is also charged with home invasion, armed assault in a dwelling, armed robbery and carrying a firearm without a license.
The Cape Cod Times (http://bit.ly/10ukq6J ) reports that Webster is the fourth defendant to face charges in Stanley’s death.
Three other suspects were detained shortly after police responded to reports of shots fired.
Webster was arrested in February after an extensive investigation by state police detectives, including cellphone tracking.
