WAILUKU, Hawaii _ Authorities say a man was on parole for a domestic battery conviction from Illinois when he abused a woman in Hawaii last year. The Maui News reports Royce Turner was sentenced to one year in jail. Turner will serve the Hawaii sentence after he completes his prison term in Illinois, where he was convicted of domestic battery in September 2016. SENT: 140 words.
