Blooms of Hope donations: The Blooms of Hope committee sold daffodils last winter to raise funds for the Somerset Oncology Center and the Somerset Hospice Journey’s Rest. The daffodil, the first flower of spring, has become a perennial symbol of hope for cancer patients and their caregivers. One hundred percent of the profits stayed in Somerset County to help local cancer patients. The Blooms of Hope committee presented a check for $11,420.50 to Somerset Hospice Journey’s Rest (photo above).
