What We Are Working on 9/17/2018 (VIDEO)

September 17, 2018

Lowell Sun

It’s Monday, Sept. 17, 2018. Here is some of what Sun staffers and

other news providers are working on for lowellsun.com and Tuesday’s

edition.

Reporter Chris Lisinski, clisinski@lowellsun.com, will have the

results of the recount in the race for 3rd Congressional District as

all towns complete individual recounts.

Reporter Elizabeth Dobbins, edobbins@lowellsun.com, will be at the

Billerica School Committee, where committee members will discuss

what’s always a controversial topic: school redistricting.

Lowell Police Superintendent Kelly Richardson and City Manager

Eileen Donoghue meet with The Sun’s Editorial Board Monday to discuss

the city’s response to Friday afternoon’s fights in downtown Lowell in

which 11 juveniles were arrested in addition to an 18-year-old Lowell

man.

As the city moves forward with renovating its downtown high school,

Reporter Rick Sobey, rsobey@lowellsun.com, has learned it will cost at

least $4 million to relocate a large dentists’ practice on Arcand

Drive in a building the city is planning to acquire by eminent domain.
