Arrest made in shooting that left man seriously injured
KANKAKEE — Xavier J. Robinson, of Pembroke, was arrested by Bourbonnais police on a warrant for attempted murder on Saturday.
Robinson, 29, is accused of shooting a man during an altercation in the 300 block of North Sixth Street on May 27.
The bond set by the judge on the warrant is $500,000.
The victim, who is recovering, was shot once in the chest.
During a hearing for the warrant on June 8, a Kankakee police detective said the disturbance started about a person parking a vehicle on the property of another person.
The verbal altercation became physical and moved inside a house where Robinson allegedly kicked in the door. He fired a shot and fled on foot.
On Saturday, Bourbonnais police were called to the 200 block of North Stadium Drive after someone spotted Robinson.
