Ste Jeanne D’Arc Inducts Junior Beta Club
LOWELL -- Ste Jeanne d’Arc School recently held its National Junior Beta Club induction ceremony.
Six new students and eight returning members were recognized for their excellence in scholastic achievement, leadership, character and service. Newly inducted students include eighth-graders Jonelle Echendu and Brayden Cole; seventh-grader Nathan Vitorino; and sixth-graders Maya Silva, Miranda Strunk and Lauren Woodhead. Returning students who maintained their scholastic and service requirements necessary for continued Beta membership include eighth-graders Tia Bhardwaj, Srikar Kopparapu, Ranjana Ramesh and Robert Sheehan; and seventh-graders Galen Goulette, Arnav Lele, Navin Ramesh and Breanna Rosario.
Srikar Kopparapu was appointed president of the National Junior Beta Club.
The guest speaker at the ceremony was Sheila Kirschbaum, director of the Tsongas Industrial History Center, an educational partnership of UMass Lowell’s Graduate School of Education and The Lowell National Historical Park. She spoke to the students about leadership and drew from her own experiences.
