Gritt’s Farm to sell fresh strawberries on the road

HUNTINGTON — Gritt’s Farm in Buffalo, West Virginia, is rolling out a mobile roadside market for people to get their hands on some freshly grown strawberries this season.

Farm employees have been selling strawberries at several sites starting in Cabell County on Wednesdays. They will also travel across Putnam and Cabell counties during the strawberry season, which runs until June. For a full schedule, search for Gritt’s Farm on Facebook.

On Wednesdays starting in Cabell County, the van will be at: St. Mary’s Medical Center at 10 a.m.; the parking lot of G.D. Ritzy’s at 11 a.m.; Frontier Communications on 6th Avenue at noon; Special Metals at 3200 Riverside Drive at 12:45 p.m.; HIMG on U.S. 60 at 2 p.m.; Work Force West Virginia on Park Avenue at 4 p.m.; and ending at Kings Daughters Hospital in Ashland, Kentucky at 4:14 p.m.
