Lamar Jackson to make first career start for Ravens: Reports
The Baltimore Ravens will turn to rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson to start their Week 11 game hosting the Cincinnati Bengals, Jason LaCanfora of CBS Sports and others reported Sunday morning.
With Joe Flacco out nursing a hip injury, Jackson, the 32nd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, will step in for his first start in the league.
Baltimore had to choose between Flacco and ex-Redskins star Robert Griffin III with Flacco out. Griffin will back up Jackson on Sunday.
It won’t be Jackson’s first time seeing the field, of course. The Ravens have used him in a number of ways throughout the season, often sharing the field with Flacco and occasionally throwing the football. On the year, Jackson is 7-for-12 for 87 passing yards and a touchdown, while he’s picked up 139 rushing yards and another score on 28 carries.
