ST. LOUIS (AP) _ St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner will be sidelined 8-to-10 weeks with a broken pinkie on his throwing hand.
He will have surgery Tuesday.
The quarterback was injured in the first quarter of Sunday’s 13-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, which dropped St. Louis to 0-4. The Rams estimated Sunday he would be sidelined at least a month.
Two years ago, Warner had surgery on the same broken finger on his right hand and missed five games.
It will take longer to heal this time because it’s a compound fracture. Coach Mike Martz described the injury as a ``T-shaped break at the base of the finger.″
Martz said the Rams were close to signing a quarterback.
