Suspect arrested two days after assault
Rochester police made an arrest Friday in connection with an assault that left a man with severe facial injuries.
The alleged assault happened Wednesday at Dooley’s Pub, 255 First Ave. SW. Witnesses told police an adult male had been hit in the head with a glass. The victim required surgery on his face, according to the police report.
On Friday, police identified James Halverson, 36, as a suspect in the case and arrested him at the Government Center on a charge of third-degree assault. Halverson’s place of residence was not available Saturday.
