TRUCKEE, Calif. (AP) _ Stacia Hookom won the women’s parallel giant slalom Sunday, edging four Olympians for her second title in the U.S. Snowboard Championships.
Hookom, of Edwards, Colo., won the slalom on Friday.
Canada’s Jasey Jay Anderson won the men’s event at Northstar-at-Tahoe Ski Area, while Ian Price of Manchester Center, Vt., finished second to take the U.S. title.
In parallel giant slalom, riders compete on side-by-side courses, then switch courses for a second run. The rider with the better two-run time advances.
Two-time Olympian Rosey Fletcher of Girdwood, Alaska, finished second in the women’s competition, followed by Lisa Kosglow of Boise, Idaho; and Lisa Odynski of Reno, Nev.
Anderson and Price were followed by Benjamin Fairchild of Bothell, Wash.; Jeff Greenwood of Hartford, Conn.; and Peter Thorndike of Meredith, N.H.
