Authorities investigate deadly stabbing in East Longmeadow
EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass. (AP) — The suspect in a fatal stabbing at an East Longmeadow home has pleaded not guilty.
Matthew Scavotto was held without bail after pleading not guilty Wednesday in Palmer District Court to murder.
Police responded to the home on Somers Road, which is Route 83, on Tuesday afternoon.
No information about the victim has been released. Authorities have not disclosed a motive for the relationship between the suspect and victim.
The stabbing remains under investigation by state troopers assigned to the district attorney’s office.
No other information was immediately available.
