Texas Parks & Wildlife delivers Rainbow Trout to Precinct 4 parks

January 24, 2019

Pick up your fishing poles and prepare your bait for 1,400 rainbow trout that are available in several Harris County Precinct 4 parks.

Texas Parks & Wildlife recently delivered the rainbow trout to several parks in the Spring and Tomball areas.

Since rainbow trout is only available during the winter time, anglers are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity while they last.

TPWD recommends using cheese, kennel corn, nightcrawlers, red wigglers and mealworms to catch the trout.

Anglers that are 17 and older are required to purchase a valid Texas fishing license with a freshwater stamp endorsement.

Freshwater fishing licenses can be purchased at several sporting goods stores and on the TPWD website.

Visit the Harris County Precinct 4 website for more information on their fishing regulations.
