CLEVELAND (AP) _ Hector Marinaro scored two 3-point goals during a decisive third-quarter run Thursday night, leading the Cleveland Crunch to a 27-15 victory over the Milwaukee Wave in Game 3 of the NPSL finals.

Marinaro, the six-time league MVP and seven-time scoring champion, keyed a 10-0 spurt in the third quarter as Cleveland took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series.

Milwaukee's Steve Morris tied a playoff record with seven goals.

Cleveland can repeat as NPSL champions by winning Game 4 Saturday night at home. The Crunch have won four of the last six league titles.

Morris had four 2-point goals and three 1-point goals, tying the NPSL playoff record for goals in one game accomplished twice by Marinaro.

Tommy Tanner's two goals during a 9-0 run helped the Crunch take a 14-9 lead at halftime. Tanner's second goal was a header of a long pass by Zoran Karic that sailed over the right shoulder of Milwaukee's Victor Nogueira, selected the league's top goalie for the sixth time this season.

Marinaro's 2-point goal with 37 seconds remaining capped the first-half scoring. The forward finished with nine points.

Cleveland goalie Otto Orf made 13 saves.

The Wave tied the series 1-1 on Tuesday night with an 18-12 win in Milwaukee. The Crunch won the series opener in Milwaukee, 20-18.
