Homes evacuated during house fire in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood

Firefighters spent several hours early Monday morning battling a three-alarm house fire in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood.

The fire on Excelsior Street was reported around 1 a.m., according to Tribune-Review news partner WPXI.

Nearby homes were evacuated, but firefighters were able to keep the blaze from spreading.

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
