Penn Hills man arrested for shooting at East Hills club

Pittsburgh police on Saturday arrested a man believed to have been involved in an early morning shooting in the city’s East Hills neighborhood.

Jason Lawson, 34, of Penn Hills, is charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure.

The shooting happened around 12:40 a.m. at Club Taboo, 8023 Bennett Ave., police Sgt. William Vollberg said.

Police found a man bleeding from a leg wound when they arrived at the scene, Vollberg said.

No other information was immediately available.
