South Carolina pizza deliveryman of 20 years killed on job
DARLINGTON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a pizza delivery driver has been shot and killed while working in South Carolina.
Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee said 39-year-old Abdul McKenzie was found dead inside his car early Sunday morning on a two-lane road not far from Darlington.
Hardee says McKenzie worked for Domino’s Pizza for 20 years. An autopsy has been scheduled.
Deputies are investigating. No arrests have been made.
McKenzie’s wife of 10 years, Trinity Sampson, said in a statement her husband was the father of three girls and worked hard to give her and his daughters whatever he could.
McKenzie’s boss said he was heartbroken and will close his store indefinitely and will review safety.
