August 25, 2018

WILKES-BARRE — A Wilkes-Barre man is facing robbery charges after police say he held up a convenience store early Friday. Theodore Sepkoski, 25, is accused of robbing the Turkey Hill Minit Market on East Main Street around 4:30 a.m. Police said Sepkoski entered the store and pulled a large knife as he demanded cash. After getting an undisclosed amount of money, Sepkoski fled the scene, police said. Luzerne County 911 broadcast a description of the robber as officers converged on the scene, and police spotted Sepkoski in the area, according to police. Sepkoski ran but was caught after a brief chase, police said. He was found in possession of the stolen cash as well as a knife that matched the description of the weapon the robber used, police said. Sepkoski was arrested and held pending arraignment on robbery charges, police said. — JAMES HALPIN
