College Roundup: King’s Volleyball Wins 6th Straight

King’s volleyball extended its winning streak to six with a 3-1 (19-25, 25-19, 25-17, 25-21) win over Wilkes on Wednesday.

Rachel Miller (18) and Becca Goldberg (14) led the offense in kills and Wiatt Hoffman provided 40 assists for the Monarchs.

Alex Ferrier and Jamey Mikovich led the Colonels with 16 kills apeiece, which was a new career-high for Ferrier.

DeSales 3, Misericordia 2

At the Anderson Center, the Cougars took the opening set, but DeSales rallied to win the next two sets and then held off Misericordia after the Cougars forced the match into a decider.

Set scores were 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 27-29, 14-6.

Jassmine Watson had 15 kills and 14 digs for the Cougars in the loss.

Women’s Soccer

Megan Lercara and Jessica Egan notched goals in the second half to lead Wilkes to a 2-1 win over King’s.

The Colonels remain perfect in conference play.
