Henson’s Big Game Leads University Of Scranto Into Landmark Lax Final

Jill Henson had five goals and three assists to lead the University of Scranton to a 20-12 win over Moravian in the Landmark Conference women’s lacrosse semifinals Wednesday.

Raegen Dunn had three goals and two assists for the Royals (16-2), who broke away from a three-goal halftime lead by scoring the first five goals of the second half.

Scranton will play at Catholic on Saturday at noon for the conference title.

Keystone 22, Rosemont 0

At La Plume, Savanna Robinson had nine goals and two assists as Keystone College rolled to a win in the Colonial States Athletic Conference semifinals.

April Llewellyn had three goals and two assists for the Giants (12-3) and Alex Smith had four goals and an assist.

Keystone will host Notre Dame of Maryland on Saturday at 7 p.m. for the conference championship.

Men’s lacrosse

Susquehanna University built a five-goal lead after one quarter to earn a 12-9 win over the University of Scranton in the Landmark Conference semifinals.

Colton Dick had two goals as the River Hawks opened the game on a 4-0 run.

Connor Kirkwood finished with three goals and an assist for Scranton (10-8).

Susquehanna will play at Elizabethtown on Saturday for the conference title.

Women’s tennis

Marissa Campo and Dunmore graduate Nastashia DeNunzio were two-time winners to lead the University of Scranton to a 5-1 win over Elizabethtown in the Landmark Conference

semifinals.

DeNunzio won in straight sets at No. 1 singles while Campo was a straight-sets winner at No. 4 singles and the pair teamed up for a victory at No. 1 doubles. Scranton will try to win its second straight conference championship on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Moravian.

Baseball

Susquehanna University scored seven runs in the seventh inning to pull away for an 11-2 win over Keystone College.

Justin Miller’s two-run single capped the scoring in the seventh for the River Hawks, who scored seven runs on three hits and two errors in the inning.

Ryan Callahan had two hits and an RBI for Keystone (19-13).
