Beaver Dam Police Beat: Sept. 20, 2018

Accident — Police responded to a truck that hit a sign at the intersection of Mill Street and Center Street at 7:01 a.m. on Thursday.

Vandalism — A woman reported damage to doors from a fight on East Maple Street at 8:45 a.m. on Thursday. A man was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.

Disorderly conduct — A woman reported an altercation with a man around Haskell Street and West Street at 3:59 p.m. on Thursday. Police will request criminal charges for disorderly conduct.

Family trouble — Police responded to a verbal issue between two woman and one man at 4:08 p.m. on Thursday. Officers made contact and counseled the parties, who were separated for the evening. Threatening text messages were involved.

Noise complaint — Police responded to an anonymous report of a woman blowing leaves in Swan City Park at 5:19 p.m. on Thursday. An officer found that the woman was mowing her own lawn and there was no issue.

Drugs — A man reported another man gave his daughter 15 kinds of drugs at 9:14 p.m. on Thursday. Officers responded and took the man into custody for felony bail jumping. The daughter was taken into custody as a missing juvenile through Milwaukee police and transported.

Intoxicated person — An employee at Tower Lanes, 1660 N. Spring St., reported a woman was intoxicated and wouldn’t leave at 10:14 p.m. on Thursday. Officers made contact and she was taken home.

Theft — An employee at Applebee’s, 115 Industrial Drive, reported that a woman walked out with a glass from the bar. Police made contact with the woman, who admitted taking the glass. She said would would return it at noon on Friday or otherwise receive a citation for theft.
