Phoenix police say a security guard at a fast-food restaurant says he was backing away when he fatally shot a man who was making threats and charging him.
The identities of those involved in the Wednesday night incident weren’t released.
Sgt. Jonathan Howard says the guard reported the shooting to police and is cooperating with investigators.
Howard says the case will be submitted to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office review once the police investigation is complete.
