GLENHAYES — The Tolsia High School Therapeutic Services Program conducted a “Clinic Day” at the school on Friday, Sept. 21.

The clinic was set up as a real world experience for the students in the program to get hands on experience while also serving the students and staff at the school. The clinic conducted blood pressure checks, temperature, pulse and respiration checks as part of the services provided by the students.

“The Clinic Day is a wonderful opportunity for our students to work in a real-world setting with their Simulated Workplace Company,” THS Therapeutic Services Instructor Tennille Gilkerson said. “The service to the staff and students at Tolsia High is a great by-product of the experience as well. I want to thank all the students at staff here at Tolsia High for making it a great day! The Tolsia High School community is truly a family atmosphere.”

Tolsia operates its CTE programs under the Simulated Workplace model and the Therapeutic Services simulated workplace company is the “True Hearts Services” company. The employees of True Hearts Services conducted the “Clinic Day” by providing the services to the students and staff at Tolsia High School.
