PHOENIX (AP) — Four businesses in a Phoenix strip mall have been destroyed in a two-alarm fire that has injured one firefighter.

Phoenix Fire Department officials say the firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion and taken to a hospital where he's in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery.

They say more than 40 firefighters worked to put out the blaze that broke out shortly after noon Wednesday.

Fire investigators remain on the scene and the cause of the blaze hasn't been determined yet.
