Barbara Roth -- Gibson City, Ill.

Barbara “Barb” J. Roth, 58, of rural Gibson City, Ill., died at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018, from injuries received in an automobile accident. Her funeral will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at the Gibson City Bible Church with Pastor Paul Thomason officiating. Burial will be at Willow Brook Cemetery in Fisher, Ill. Visitation will be held 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, June 11, at the Gibson City Bible Church.

Barb was born Oct. 10, 1959, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, a daughter of Neil W. and Pauline A. (Mulholland) Tallman. After returning to the states, she was raised in Mazeppa and married John Roth on March 1, 1980, in Rochester.

She is survived by her husband; her children, Tim (Sarah) Roth of Paxton, Ill., Adam Roth of San Antonio, David (Danielle) Roth of Cheney, Wash., and Rachel (Paul) Crutcher of Paxton, Ill.; and twelve grandchildren. She is also survived by three brothers, Richard (Nancy) Tallman of Austin, Texas, Larry Tallman of Salida, Calif., and Dan (JoAnn) Tallman of New Brighton, Minn.

Barb worked at the Center for Prevention Research and Development in Champaign, Ill., since 1999. She was a member of the Gibson City Bible Church and the Gideons. She had a passion for ministry and sharing Christ’s love to all. Her life was first dedicated to the Lord and then being a wife, mother and grandmother.
