2019 Old Farmer’s Almanac available now
NORFOLK - The Old Farmer’s Almanac has been around for 227 years and the time is here to get your copy of 2019’s book.
Senior Editor Sarah Perreault says the almanac continues to gain popularity because in 1793 only 9,000 copies were printed and today approximately 2.5 million copies are printed.
Perreault says the winter forecast for Northeast Nebraska in the almanac looks promising.
“Winter temperatures are going to be above normal which doesn’t necessarily mean a warm winter. There will also be above normal precipitation. Snowfall is supposed to be below normal in the northern section of the heartland, but above normal in the central and southern areas.”
Perreault says another big hit in the almanac is the calendar section which includes every day of the year, sunrise and sunset, and something that happened on that day.
