Seton Hill ‘Founding Artists’ exhibition planned as part of centennial

As part of this year’s Seton Hill University centennial celebration, a special exhibition of works by former art faculty members will open Aug. 30.

“Founding Artists” will run through Sept. 18 in the Harlan Gallery in the Seton Hill Arts Center, 205 W. Otterman St., Greensburg.

Featured artists include Raymond DeFazio, the late Josefa Filkosky, the late Sister Mary Frances Irvin, Philip Rostek and Stuart Thompson.

An opening reception is set for 1-4 p.m. Sept. 9, with DeFazio, Rostek and Thompson scheduled to attend.

A gallery talk with the artists is planned for 3 p.m. Sept. 13.

Admission to the show and all events is free.

Gallery hours are 1-8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 1-3 p.m. Fridays, 1-4 p.m. Sundays and by appointment.
