Dairy Court Presents Program At Library
The Luzerne County Dairy Court presented a program on Aug. 10 at the Back Mountain Memorial Library. More than dozen children attended the program, titled “The Sound of MOOsic.” Members of the dairy court showed the participants how dairy farmers care for their cows by providing a nutritious diet, good medical care, and healthy living conditions. Dairy Ambassador Kaelyn Traver helped the children make a snack that mimicked the mixed feed that farmers give their cows. Dairy Princess Toni Traver sang an original song while the children ate their snacks. Dairy Miss Juliet Price entertained the participants with some jokes and facts about cows. The court also helped the children make cow puppets to take home with them. From left, are Dairy Ambassador Kaelyn Traver, Dairy Miss Juliet Price, and Dairy Princess Toni Traver.
