Action Day for Poor Air Visibility in Effect Through 4 P.m. Tuesday
An air quality action day for air visibility is in effect for the seven-county Denver metro area, including Boulder County, through at least 4 p.m. Tuesday.
An exceedance of the state’s air visibility standard is expected.
As a result of the action day, indoor burning restrictions and requests to limit driving are in effect.
Cold and stagnant overnight conditions, along with limited atmospheric mixing and ventilation will result in poor visibility, according to a news release from the state.
People who are unusually sensitive to poor air quality should consider reducing prolonged or heavy exertion, the release stated, as moderate amounts of particulate matter in the air are possible along the Front Range.
