Mayville man killed and 4 others injured in crash
THERESA -- A 19-year-old Mayville man died and four others were injured on Thursday night in a two vehicle crash that happened at an intersection in the town of Theresa.
According to a Dodge County Sheriff’s Office press release, the deputies responded to the intersection of Hochheim and Freedom roads at 7:05 p.m. for a report of the crash.
The initial investigation shows that a passenger car was traveling northbound on Freedom Road when it failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck that was westbound on Hochheim Road. The passenger car was driven by a 19-year-old Mayville man who was transported via EMS to Aurora Summit for non-life threatening injuries. There were three other passengers in the passenger car including the man who was pronounced dead at the scene by the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office. The two additional passengers were a 16-year-old Theresa girl who was transported via EMS to Aurora Summit with non-life threatening injuries and a 19-year-old Mayville man who was flown from the scene with serious non-life threatening injuries by Flight for Life to Aurora Summit.
The driver of the pickup was a 26-year-old rural Mayville man who was transported via EMS for non-life threatening injuries to Aurora Summit in Oconomowoc.
The crash is currently being investigated by both the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin State Patrol, according the to the sheriff’s office press release.
The names of those involved are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Assisting on scene were Theresa Fire/EMS, Allenton Fire/EMS, Mayville EMS, West Bend Paramedics, Flight for Life, the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Chaplain and Wisconsin State Patrol.
