Letter to the editor: Proud to know Dunbar
As an 18-year resident of Penn Township, I’ve gotten to know state Rep. George Dunbar very well. His opponent, Doug Hunt, just recently moved to the 56th District. Why would we elect an outsider when we already have a good and faithful representative in Dunbar?
Dunbar has been a true public servant since long before taking state office in 2011. He has been a neighbor and advocate for those of us who live in the 56th District. I recently contacted him with a community concern. He replied immediately and worked with me to resolve it. He listens carefully and thoughtfully, and his only loyalty is to his constituents.
Dunbar is not a “politician.” He is not beholden to anybody. He is humble and genuine. We need more public servants like him. I am proud to know him. I’ll be voting on Nov. 6 to re-elect George Dunbar.
