Heat indices to reach mid- to upper 90s today, weather service says
Peak afternoon heat indices are likely to reach the middle to upper 90s today in most of northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, the National Weather Service said.
Thunderstorms are possible Tuesday night and Wednesday, the weather service said in its outlook. An isolated strong storm with gusty winds is possible overnight Tuesday in an area that includes LaGrange County.
Heat indices will reach the 95- to 100-degree range at times this afternoon in an area including Mercer County, Ohio.
