2 pedestrians struck, killed in Roseville
ROSEVILLE, Minn. (AP) — Two people were struck and killed by a pickup truck as they crossed a busy street in Roseville.
Police say a man and woman died after they were hit by the truck at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
They were identified Friday as 47-year-old Robert Buxton and 45-year-old Meridith Aikens, both of Roseville.
The driver of the car that hit them has been identified as a 72-year-old man. He is cooperating with investigators.
Police said Friday they are also searching for witnesses in the area at the time of the crash on Larpenteur Avenue, near Rice Street. Video surveillance shows three vehicles in the area before and after the crash. They also want to speak with a pedestrian who was at the scene but left before he gave officers a statement.
