Aldo’s reopening at Dominion Ridge, closed Medical Center spot
Aldo’s Ristorante Italiano, a fixture in the Medical Center area for 33 years before it closed earlier this month, is reopening Monday, Jan. 21, at the Dominion Ridge shopping center in northwest San Antonio.
The new space — a full remodeling of the now-closed Italian restaurant Di Frabo — features a full bar, a tiled pizza oven, private dining spaces and an expanded wine list. Most of the menu will be making the move as well, from lamb chops and spaghetti Bolognese to shrimp scampi and veal.
The Italian favorite led by Aldo Ghaffari is at 22211 Interstate 10 W. in the same Dominion Ridge complex as Silo Terrace Oyster Bar, Kin Thai & Sushi, Cuppencake and others. The number for reservations is 210-336-6527, with more details at aldossa.com.
The original Aldo’s on Fredericksburg Road closed Jan. 6 to make way for a massive office and retail development.
The new spot will be open for dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday; 5 to 11 p.m. for dinner Saturday and 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sunday for brunch and 2:30 to 9 p.m. for dinner.
