Riverside defeats Lake Mills boys

LAKE MILLS — Matt Johnson scored 15 points and Charlie Bender added 12 for the Lake Mills L-Cats in their 60-47 loss to Milwaukee Riverside on Thursday at the Lake Mills Invitational.

Khalil Grayson made three 3-pointers in the first half for Riverside. He scored 20 points to lead all scorers. Charles Owens scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half.

Johnson made three 3-pointers and JT Toepfer made one. It was the fewest points in a game this season for Lake Mills. The L-Cats missed 15 free throws and Riverside missed seven. Adam Moen and Bender each missed four free throws and Toepfer missed five.

Lake Mills returns to action at 3 p.m. today against Milwaukee North in a home game.
