MINNEAPOLIS (AP) _ Tonya Kirk had 22 points and 16 rebounds to lead No. 22 Purdue to a 96-62 victory over Minnesota, keeping the Gophers winless in Big Ten play.

It was the third straight victory for Purdue (16-9, 9-5 Big Ten), which has won five of six.

Minnesota (4-20, 0-14) has dropped a school-record 14 straight games and hasn’t won since an 80-73 victory at Marquette Dec. 20.

The Gophers also have lost 19 straight Big Ten games dating back to last season.

Stacey Lovelace had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Purdue. Jannon Roland added 15 points, Michele VanGorp 11 and Melina Griffin 10.

Cheri Stafford led Minnesota with 14 points and Kay Schmidt added 11.

Minnesota scored the game’s first six points and stayed close early. The Boilermakers took the lead for good at 15-13 on VanGorp’s basket with 12:45 left in the first half. That started a 16-2 run that put Purdue in command. The Boilermakers led by as many as 36 points in the second half.

Lovelace continued her march up the Boilermakers’ career scoring and rebounding lists. The senior from Detroit has 1,426 career points, fifth on the career list. MaChelle Joseph is the leader with 2,405 points.

Lovelace is third on the rebounding list with 807, 25 behind leader Donna Gill.
