Gray attends financial workshop

Zach Gray, an investment adviser representative of Wall Street Financial Group, recently attended Journey for Advisors. He met with advisers from across the country, discussing ways to help retirees have a successful retirement. Among the topics were how to avoid tax mistakes that could cost retirees thousands and what changed with the new tax reform law and how it can impact their retirement.

KCC fall courses to start mid-October

Kankakee Community College is offering a variety of fall courses which begin mid-October and meet for eight weeks or fewer.

Classes are held at the KCC Riverfront Campus in Kankakee, the Manufacturing and Industrial Technology Center in Kankakee, the North Extension Center in Bradley and the South Extension Center in Watseka. There also are online and hybrid classes.

Registration is in Student Services at KCC, 100 College Drive in Kankakee, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays. Students can call 815-802-8500 to make an advisement appointment.
