CLASS 4A 6-Tunkhannock (14-10) vs. 5-Western Wayne (13-11) ■ When: Today, 6 p.m., Scranton High School. ■ How they got here: Tunkhannock defeated Valley View, 59-51, and lost to Nanticoke, 49-48. Western Wayne defeated GAR, 66-63, and lost to Scranton Prep, 50-31. ■ Players to watch: Tunkhannock — Tyler Faux, 20.3 ppg; Ryan Harder, 9.0; Jack Chilson, 8.0. Western Wayne — Zach Rovinsky, 20.1 ppg; Dahlton Frisbie, 16.7; Rob Carey, 4.9. ■ What’s next: The winner plays the District 4 champion in the first round of the PIAA playoffs. ■ The buzz: Western Wayne defeated Tunkhannock, 55-46, on Dec. 17. Frisbie scored 21 points and Rovinsky had 20. ... Western Wayne and Tunkhannock are both trying to reach the PIAA playoffs for the first time since 1993. Wallenpaupack beat Honesdale, 61-52, and lost to Crestwood, 44-33. ■ Players to watch: Dallas — Jack Farrell, 11.5 ppg; Nick Nocito, 9.0; Luke DelGaudio, 7.9. Wallenpaupack — Elijah Rosenthal, 20.3; Gabe Springer, 10.7; Derrick Vosburg, 9.4. ■ What’s next: The winner plays the third-place team from District 1 in the PIAA playoffs. ■ The buzz: Wallenpaupack is the Lackawanna Division II champion and is trying to reach the state playoffs for the first time since 2003. ...
