Schuyler man identified as pedestrian killed on I-80
A pedestrian struck and killed by a vehicle early Sunday while crossing Interstate 80 near Greenwood, Nebraska, has been identified.
Inocente Perez-Sanchez, 46, of Schuyler, Nebraska, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Nebraska State Patrol. The incident occurred in the westbound lanes about 2:30 a.m. near mile marker 423.
Patrol investigators determined that Perez-Sanchez walked out in front of a vehicle and was struck. The driver of the vehicle called 911.
There were no signs of alcohol use or impairment by the vehicle’s driver. The death remains under investigation.
