KICKER

NOAH BURNETTE, Raleigh Leesville Road, WR, Jr., 5-10, 155 _ Caught 70 passes for 1,353 yards and 12 touchdowns. Also made 10 of 15 field goals, with a long of 52 yards, and 34 of 35 extra points.

HOLT CLONINGER, Gastonia Forestview, K/P, Jr., 5-10, 180 _ Averaged 40 yards per punt. Kicked four field goals of at least 50 yards this season, while there had been only five others of that distance in county history. Made 7 of 13 field goals, with only one miss from inside 40 yards. Put 90 percent of kickoffs for touchbacks. Has better than 4.0 GPA. Ranked as the No. 2 placekicker in the nation according to Chris Sailer Kicking for the class of 2020, and is rated No. 20 at punter. Conference special teams player of the year.

EVAN DAVIS, Shelby Crest, K, 5-9, 165 _ Had 52 PATs and three field goals. Had 45 touchbacks. All-conference pick. Committed to Toledo.

JOSHUA KARTY, Western Alamance, K, JR., 6-1, 185 _ Made 12 of 14 field goals with a long of 52 yards. Also made 56 of 57 PATs. Put 84 of 86 kickoffs into end zone for touchbacks. Made a 65-yard field goal in warmups to attract attention from USA Today. Has an offer from UNC. Drawing interest from Oregon State, California and Stanford.

JEREMIAH KIM, Wilmington Hoggard, K, Sr., 5-11, 175 _ Made 9 of 13 field goals with a long of 43 yards. Made all 56 PATs. First-team all-conference and all-area pick. Drawing interest from Army and has communicated with Harvard.

CAM LEWIS, Charlotte Hough, K, Sr., 5-11, 190 _ Hit 8 of 14 field goals and 58 of 62 PATs. Two of his four missed field goals were more than 55 yards. Had two school-record kicks of 52 yards. Had 95 percent touchback rate on kickoffs. Two-time conference kicker of the year. Committed to Oregon.

PIERCE MEMMEL, Morganton Patton, K/P, Sr., 5-11, 170 _ Made five field goals with a long of 51 yards for a county record. Made kicks of 23, 35, 36 and 40 yards. Also made 14 PATs. Had 85 percent of kickbacks go for touchbacks. Averaged 42.5 yards per punt with a long of 61 yards. Had 33 percent of punts downed inside an opponent’s 15-yard line. Converted 2 of 2 fake punts with a 20-yard pass and a 14-yard run. Also had 20 tackles and one interception. On offense, had team-best 11 catches for 83 yards and a score. Conference specialist of the year. All-conference pick. Led county in field goals made, punting average, longest punt and touchbacks.

TREVOR MOSS, Richmond County, K, So., 6-2, 150 _ Made 4 of 7 field goals and 56 of 66 PATs. Had 23 touchbacks.

COLLIN SMITH, Eastern Guilford, P/K, Sr., 5-10, 155 _ Made 15 of 22 field goals with a long of 53 yards. Made 41 of 43 PATs. Put 70 of his 83 kickoffs for touchbacks. Averaged 42 yards on 34 punts, with a long of 71 yards. Conference special teams player of the year. Two-time HSXtra.com all-area pick.

JARED WHEATLEY, Indian Trail, K, Sr., 6-2, 190 _ Made 8 of 9 field goals with made kicks of 42, 48, 50, 50 and 52 yards. Also made 45 of 49 PATs. Had 70 percent touchback rate. Averaged 48.6 yards on punts in the top-five nationally with a long of 64 yards. Two-time all-conference pick and league special teams player of the year. Committed to Vanderbilt.

PUNTER

CONNER MAYNARD, Charlotte Hough, P, Sr., 6-2, 185 _ First-year punter who averaged 41.5 yards. Had a long of 68 yards while putting 16 of 42 punts inside the 20. Twelve of those 16 were inside the 10. Has preferred walk-on offers to Penn State, Miami, Miami (Ohio) and Ball State.

DYLAN WEYBRECHT, Charlotte Olympic, P, 5-10, 200 _ Punted 27 times for 40.5-yard average. Had a long of 60 yards. Downed 15 punts inside the 20. All-conference pick.

RETURNER

JB AWOLOWO, Charlotte Christian, WR/DB, Jr., 5-10, 175 _ Returned nine kickoffs for 284 yards (31.6 average) with one touchdown. Returned 14 punts for 248 yards (17.7 average) and two touchdowns. Also ran for a touchdown, had 14 catches for 253 yards and four scores. Had 879 all-purpose yards. On defense, had 54 tackles, nine tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, one fumble recovery and one blocked kick. Played 11 games.

RAY GRIER, Belmont South Point, Jr., 6-3, 200 _ Had 338 kick return yards. Also had 155 yards rushing and 541 yards receiving. Scored 11 touchdowns. Also had 11 tackles, one tackle for loss and two interceptions. Two-time all-conference pick.

JAQUAYLEN HARDIN, Bessemer City, KR/PR, Sr., 5-6, 150 _ Had 15 kick returns for 346 yards. Had 10 punt returns for 302 yards. Had seven interceptions on defense.

BRYSON MASON, Concord Robinson, RB, So., 5-9, 155 _ Had 256 return yards with five touchdowns. Also had 917 yards rushing and 148 yards receiving.

JEREMIAH ROSSER, Charlotte Olympic, TE/H-BACK, 5-11, 215 _ Averaged 25.82 yards on kickoff returns with one touchdown. Had 563 yards and eight touchdowns receiving. All-conference pick.

EMERY SIMMONS, Hope Mills South View, WR, Sr. _ Had 67 receptions for 1,336 yards and 18 touchdowns. Returned three punts and a kickoff for touchdowns. Had 69 tackles and three interceptions on defense. All-conference pick. Shrine Bowl pick. Signed with UNC.

JAHTWAN STAFFORD, Monroe, PR/RB/DB, Sr., 5-9, 180 _ Has more than 1,327 return yards this season to rank among the nation’s best. Averaged 19 yards per punt return and 37 yards on kickoff returns. Had three returns for touchdowns. Also ran for 1,233 yards, had 232 yards receiving and 17 total touchdowns. All-conference pick. Has offer form St. Andrews and interest from other schools.

SKYLIN THOMAS, Lenoir Hibriten, Sr., 5-10, 188 _ Returned six punts for 266 yards (44.3 average) and three touchdowns with a long of 95 yards. Returned five kickoffs for 197 yards (39.4 average) and one touchdown. On offense, had 14 catches for 281 yards and four touchdowns to go with 388 yards rushing and three scores. On defense, had 56 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, one interception return for a touchdown, two fumble recoveries for TDs. Three-year varsity starter for senior class that went 44-2 in the last three years. Conference player of the year.
