Nebraska’s rivalry game against Iowa on the day after Thanksgiving will return in 2022.
The Huskers on Wednesday announced their Big Ten schedules for the 2022 through 2025 seasons. All four years the Huskers will face Iowa on Black Friday.
The tradition that began when Nebraska entered the Big Ten is set to go on hold in 2020 and 2021. Those years the Huskers will end the season against Minnesota instead.
But Athletic Director Bill Moos has been vocal in his support of bringing back the Black Friday game against Iowa.
“When I got here there were a couple things that I went right, straight to and that was Black Friday and to secure the rivalry with Iowa,” Moos said in May. “That will be scheduled long after I’m gone. And I mean, on the face of the Earth.”
