Man, 19, found shot in home
Video surveillance from an adjacent apartment complex might lead to the identification of the person who shot a 19-year-old man inside his home.
About 1 a.m. Thursday, Quymoni McCall was found in a bedroom at 4311 Standish Drive. He had been shot in the face.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department, an officer arrived after he heard about 20 gunshots near South Anthony Boulevard and McKinnie Avenue.
The officer found McCall with blood on his face and a swollen mouth, according to police. Paramedics told the officer they believed a projectile was probably lodged in McCall’s throat or the back of his mouth.
Police believe the shooter or shooters approached the home from Werling Drive, police said.

Woman, 72, found safe after alert
A Silver Alert issued for a 72-year-old Fort Wayne woman was canceled Thursday after she was found safe, police said.
The alert was issued about 6 a.m. Thursday and canceled six hours later.
