LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) _ Yes It’s True, ridden by Shane Sellers, drew off from stablemate Tactical Cat down the stretch for an impressive 1 1/4-length victory in Monday’s $138,625 Kentucky Breeders’ Cup at Churchill Downs.

Undefeated in three career starts, Yes It’s True covered the 5 1/2 furlongs in a track record 1:03 3-5 to eclipse the previous mark established in 1995 by A.V. Eight by a fifth. Yes It’s True, part of the favored entry trained by D. Wayne Lukas, returned $2.40, $2.20 and $2.10.

Tactical Cat returned $2.20 and $2.10. Alannan closed for third and paid $2.10.

Owned by Satish and Anne Sanan’s Padua Stables, Yes It’s True is a son of Is It True, who won the 1988 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile for Lukas.
