High School Roundup New Milford baseball knocks off New Fairfield

NEW FAIRFIELD — The New Milford baseball team continued its hot streak Thursday as a three-run first inning led to a 5-4 win over SWC rival New Fairfield.

The Green Wave pounded out 10 hits, including a perfect day at the plate from Nick Bon Tempo. He went 4-for-4 with two RBIs while Jon Luc Dumas went 2-for-4. The Green Wave won for the 10th time in 11 games to improve to 10-8 on the season.

Matt Garbowski was also perfect at the plate for New Fairfield, going 4-for-4 with a run driven in. The Rebels dropped to 11-7 with the result.
