January 11, 2019

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) — The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory for parts of central and northern Vermont.

The sub-zero temperature and wind could combine to create wind chills as 25 below zero Friday night and early Saturday.

The weather service says wind chills of that level could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.

The advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. on Saturday.
