Umpqua Valley Christian crushes Prospect, 92-18

PROSPECT — The Umpqua Valley Christian boys basketball team buried Prospect Charter, 92-18, Tuesday night in a nonleague game.

The Monarchs (5-2) had four players in double figures. They were led by Aaron Buechley and Spencer Adams with 12 points apiece. Dominick Butler (11 points) and Devin McLaughlin (10) also scored in double figures.

“Our defense played really well, we got to contest every shot they took. We got out in transition and got some easy baskets,” UVC coach Brian Ferguson said. “Overall I was really happy with how we played.”

UVC hosts the Monarch Invitational starting on Friday. UVC faces Eddyville at 6:30 p.m.
