Official: Georgia woman kills husband, then herself
CUMMING, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say a Georgia woman killed her husband before killing herself.
Forsyth County Sheriff’s spokesman Cpl. Doug Rainwater tells The Atlanta Journal-Constitution 32-year-old Jackielyn Belangel Brewster and 50-year-old Adrian Lavaughan Brewster were found dead Monday.
Rainwater says deputies were called to the Cumming home after a family friend reported she received a concerning phone call or text message. He says responding deputies found the couple’s two children waiting by the front door and the couple dead inside the home.
Rainwater says investigators believe the husband was killed Friday, and the wife killed herself Monday. Adrian Brewster had been a teacher with Cherokee County schools since 2015.
The causes of death haven’t been released. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is handling the autopsies.
