Connecticut man run over by own car
NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Police in Connecticut have rescued a man whose leg got stuck under of the tire of his own vehicle when he stopped for gas.
North Haven police say an officer heard cries for help at about 12:15 a.m. Friday and when he went to investigate found a 29-year-old man in the rear lot of a gas station with his leg stuck under the tire.
The officer, with the help of firefighters, freed the man, whose name wasn’t released.
Police say the man, the lone occupant of the vehicle, had stopped to purchase gas. After he got out of his vehicle, it started to roll. He opened the driver’s door and attempted to steer the vehicle away from the street, but while doing so became trapped.
