LONDON (AP) — Julian Speroni saved a late penalty to preserve a 0-0 draw for Crystal Palace against Premier League newcomer Burnley on Saturday.

Speroni dived the right way to push away Scott Arfield's spot kick in the 86th minute and deny the visitors a first victory of the season.

Neil Warnock's Palace side is also seeking its first league win of the new term, with Scott Dann heading against the bar and Dwight Gayle fluffing two good chances.

Burnley captain Jason Shackell was forced to clear off the line after almost putting through his own net, and Jonathan Williams and Jason Puncheon both failed to convert promising opportunities for the hosts.

Palace and Burnley both have two points from four games.
